Azure Deployments

These topics describe how to install Domino on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS). AKS is hosted on Azure. When you deploy Domino to AKS, you must have the following services and components:

A map of the Azure architecture you’ll need to set up a Domino deployment

Runtime platform
  • A: AKS cluster deployed in three Availability Zones (AZ), version 1.21, with an Analytics workspace for control plane logging.

Node/instances: virtual machine scale set:
  • B: Platform nodes: Node pool (4x) Standard_D8s_v4, 128GB root disk.

  • C: Compute nodes: Node pool (variable size) Standard_D8s_v4, variable root disk.

  • D: GPU compute nodes: Node pool (variable size) Standard_NC6s_v3, variable root disk.

Storage
  • E: Shared filesystem and datasets: Azure Storage Account.

  • F: Backups: Azure Storage Account.

  • G: Environment and model image: Azure Container Registry.

Networking
  • H: Ingress load balancer: Standard SKU (Azure Load Balancer).

  • I: Cluster network: Azure Virtual Network with a subnet with 65536 IP addresses (/16 subnet mask).
